Account and User Management
Platforms that require a support ticket to add a site or a user get out of date, and out-of-date data quietly undermines every report built on it. Account Management exists so the people who own the information can maintain it themselves.

Self-service onboarding
Utility accounts, sites, users, roles, and KPI definitions are all managed in the product. Adding a location or connecting a new utility account is something your team does when it happens, not something that waits in a queue.
That immediacy is what keeps the dataset complete. A site added three months late is three months of missing bills in every report.
Users and roles
Access is managed by role, so an accounting user, a regional facility manager, and an executive can each be given the view that suits them. Major single sign-on providers are supported, which for most organizations means access is governed by the identity system they already run.
Utility credential health
Utility portal credentials break — passwords rotate, accounts move, portals change. Huckleberry surfaces these as issues as they appear rather than silently collecting fewer invoices.
It is a small feature that prevents a specific and expensive failure: discovering at year end that one region has been missing bills since spring, and that every comparison built on that period is wrong.
KPI definitions
The custom KPIs used for normalization across the platform are defined here, so the denominators in your benchmarks are governed in one place rather than reinvented per report.
Who it’s for
- Platform administrators
- Add sites, accounts, and users without raising a ticket.
- IT
- Role-based access governed through your existing single sign-on.
- Energy managers
- Know immediately when a utility connection breaks, not at year end.
Related modules
- Site ProfilesProperty metadata, ENERGY STAR-aligned audit fields, and custom business KPIs such as headcount, sales, or beds — the static layer the analytics normalize against.
- Utility BillingCollect every utility invoice automatically, keep the original bill image as an audit trail, and turn cost and usage into reportable data across your portfolio.
- Rank & SortRank every site side by side on cost, usage, demand, or any custom KPI, with service-type breakdowns and normalization that makes the comparison fair.
